Effort to fortify beach at Coyote Point rolls forward
from The Daily Journal
An ongoing effort to increase public access and fortify a stretch of Bayside land at the Coyote Point Recreation Area is rolling forward as San Mateo County officials take steps to finish the last section of a sea wall and promenade on the most eastern tip of San Mateo. The project to address shoreline erosion and invite public access to the Bayfront park with an 1,850-foot-long promenade has been in the works since 2009, when the planning effort was launched, according to a previous staff report.
