Practice Self-care

So often you are looked upon to bring your communities together – especially in tough times such as these. It’s important you take the time to practice self-care, even for just a few minutes each day. Here are a few tips to remember over the next few days, weeks and months...
  • Take breaks from watching, reading, or listening to news stories, including social media.
  • Take care of your body. Take deep breaths, stretch, or meditate. Try to eat healthy, well-balanced meals, exercise regularly, and get plenty of sleep.
  • Make time to unwind. Try to do some other activities you enjoy.
  • Connect with others. Talk with people you trust about your concerns and how you are feeling.
  • Take a walk in your favorite park. We "talk the talk" and ask our communities to do this ... don’t forget to ‘walk the walk’ and take some time for yourself as well.
