Opening up the economy in the coming weeks will depend, in part, on having functioning child-care facilities, which were overburdened in the Central Okanagan before the COVID-19 lockdown began. And, while it will be “challenging” to make the required changes to allow parents to return to work, the bright side is that many parents might convince their employers that they can work from home and look after their own children.
