from Journal of Medical Internet Research
Breastfeeding provides survival, growth, and health benefits for infants and promotes positive maternal health outcomes. The United Nations Children’s Fund and the World Health Organization (WHO) refer to breastfeeding as a cornerstone for child survival, nourishment, and growth and maternal health. However, only 38% of infants aged under 6 months are exclusively breastfed worldwide, which is lower than the 2025 target of 50%.
