from Scientific Reports
Threatened miscarriage — defined as per vaginal bleeding with or without abdominal pain in early pregnancy, is the most common gynaecological emergency, occurring in 15-20% of all pregnancies with 20-25% eventually progressing to spontaneous miscarriage. Women with threatened miscarriage have been reported to experience significant anxiety and depressive symptoms due to their uncertain pregnancy outcomes.
