Lessons learned on recruiting and retaining young fathers in a parenting and repeat pregnancy prevention program
from Maternal and Child Health Journal via SpringerLink
Adolescent fathers are an understudied and underserved population (Weber 2012). Despite existing links between teen fatherhood, involvement in risky behaviors, and poor academic outcomes (Barlow et al. 2011; Bunting and McAuley 2004; Buston et al. 2012; Miller-Johnson et al. 2004), teen pregnancy and parenting support programs tend to be designed around the needs of teen mothers.
