Suez investing $600 million in North Jersey water infrastructure; here's what it includes
The water utility Suez will continue removing lead service lines as part of a four-year, $600 million North Jersey infrastructure spending plan, the company announced Wednesday. The spending, which includes $120 million in 2020, will cover the costs of water main replacements, as well as updates to the for-profit company's water treatment facility in Haworth. Suez, the largest drinking water system in the state, serves roughly 1.2 million customers in Bergen and Hudson counties.
