Soft-tissue lasers add no clinical value to the treatment of periodontal disease beyond what can be achieved using scaling, planing and conventional surgical procedures, according to a literature review in the Journal of the Canadian Dental Association. But other research, and the evolving perception that periodontal disease is caused not by oral bacteria but by inflammatory cells that overreact to the presence of the bacteria,

The top three things people fear most are public speaking, death and the dentist's office. OK, I admit that I made up the last one. Why dental implants become necessary
Dental Health Magazine
Share

A dental implant procedure permits a dentist to replace a missing tooth. The dentist inserts a titanium pin that is hollowed out inside into the jawbone of a patient. The surgical procedure then involves the placement of a metal piece that is screwed directly into the inserted pin when the patient has healed from having the pin placed. A tooth implant is positioned on the metal piece, otherwise called an
abutment and dental implant procedure is completed.

The fact is, dentists don't always realize just how important new patients are in terms of maintaining and accelerating their practice. When compared to existing patients, new patients typically represent much higher average production
and contribute more each year to overall practice production.
