Delta moving jobs from Minneapolis to Atlanta

Delta Air Lines Inc. is announcing plans to consolidate some operations now in Minneapolis to Atlanta, but will offer jobs to everyone in Minnesota who is willing to relocate. In a letter to employees, CEO Richard Anderson said the moves will save money as fuel prices have risen sharply this year. The number of jobs affected was not disclosed. More

Aeroportuario Pacifico gains on Grupo Mexico share offer
Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB gained the most in nine months in Mexico trading after Grupo Mexico SAB, the country's largest mining company, said it will try to take control of the airport operator. Grupo Mexico will offer as much as 50 pesos ($4.24) per share, valuing Aeroportuario del Pacifico at as much as $2 billion, according to a stock exchange filing. More

A hangar the size of two football pitches is rising at Manila airport as the Philippines bids to become one of the world's select few pit stops for the Airbus A380, the world's biggest commercial jet. Lufthansa Technik Philippines is building the $30 million hangar, its third at the airport, to accommodate the new trend of larger aircraft, said its sales and marketing vice-president Dominik Wiener-Silva. Over 70 attend Airport Project Delivery Summit
The 6th Annual ACI-NA/ACC/AGC Airport Project Delivery Summit last week in San Jose, Calif., brought over 70 representatives from airports, airlines, consulting and construction firms who engaged in high-level discussions on innovations and trends in airport project delivery methods. Sessions were held on defining the basic project delivery methods, the roles and responsibilities of various parties, considerations in using GMAX contracting, and new technologies.
