World Aviation Authorities Tackle Climate Change

When reconstruction of a Mitchell, S.D., municipal airport runway fell behind schedule because of rain in summer 2009, Bowes Construction, Brookings, the grading subcontractor, had two weapons at its disposal to make up for lost time: a fast-track pavement recycling process and high-speed machine control technology.     If you are catching a flight from Mumbai between 11 am and 12 noon on a Tuesday, be sure to arrive at least 75 minutes before the scheduled departure time. The airport will witness complete closure for six hours as the intersection between two cross-runways will be shut for the next 22 Tuesdays from 12 noon to 6pm for repair and reconstruction work.
