Formerly The Association of Pool & Spa Professionals/National Swimming Pool Foundation
|
A Year in Review: A Letter from Our President and CEO
PHTA
It goes without saying that this has been an historical year for the pool and hot tub industry. In January 2019, it was officially announced that The Association of Pool and Spa Professionals and the National Swimming Pool Foundation would unify as one organization in order to ensure the long-term well-being of the industry.
The integration has been on-going, and the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance has made great strides to maximize the collective efforts of legacy APSP and legacy NSPF. Advancing the industry and providing excellent service is at the forefront of our minds.
Later this month, your Board of Directors are embarking on a strategic planning initiative and I cannot wait to start sharing our plans and vision with you.
It's true that we are better together. We have a unique opportunity to have a greater impact on the industry – and we’re just getting started.

Adventures in pool building: Baja, California
AQUA Magazine
As anyone who's done it will attest, all pool building is an adventure. The labor supply is fickle, the permit authorities are fussy and the clients are often crazy. But usually the project is connected to supplies and civilization by roads, the soil is reasonably competent, the weather generally temperate and clean water comes from a tap.

Retail forecast 2020: Happy shoppers, slowing growth

What's trending this time of year? In a word, words
By Bob Kowalski
As a new year starts, you've heard about plenty "of-the-years." They must be important. Besides the newsmakers of the year, a few other off-the-beaten-path declarations make the media rounds.
