APSP testimony before Senate subcommittee now available

Rich Gottwald, APSP president and CEO, testified last week on behalf of the industry before the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Consumer Protection, Product Safety, Insurance, and Data Security to mark the 10th anniversary of the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act. His testimony, along with others, is now available online at APSP.org/VGBTestimony.

APSP expressed concern today that some commercial pool openings in the Mid-Atlantic region could be slightly delayed due to regulatory changes. The pools affected are those run by pool management companies who recruit lifeguards from certain countries through the U.S. State Departments J-1 Summer Work Travel Program.
