Seth Ewing Joins APSP Staff

We are pleased to announce Seth Ewing as APSP’s new director of membership and business development. Seth, and avid swimmer and former runner, comes to APSP from the National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors, where he served as the assistant vice president of business development and strategic partnerships. He will be responsible for the overall strategy, planning and implementation of activities to promote membership retention and growth and business development strategies including sponsorship. He earned his BA from Longwood University and resides in Virginia with his wife and 8-week-old son.

The U.S. Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division recently disclosed the details of its final revised regulations relating to certain "white collar" salary exemptions under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act. In brief, the minimum salary threshold for exempt employees is increasing to $47,476 annually, up from $23,660 per year. These new rules become effective Dec. 1.
