 The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) announced the appointment of Sabeena Hickman, CAE as PHTA's President and Chief Executive Officer and Staff Liaison to the Board of Directors effective Sept. 3. Hickman brings more than 20 years of relevant association experience to her new role, having previously served as Chief Executive Officer of the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP).

 The industry mourns the loss of Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) member Donnie Carroll Aston, 85. On Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019, he passed away at his home in Sacramento, California. Aston was a founding member of the Foundation for Pool & Spa Industry Education (FPSIE) and served as FPSIE's treasurer until 2012. Also, he was the founder and owner of Chem Quip. A memorial service was held on Monday, Aug. 12 at East Lawn Mortuary in Sacramento. View his full obituary here.
