APSP has announced the winners of its 2016 APSP Awards Program. The program recognizes prominent achievements and outstanding performers in the pool, spa and hot tub industry. Being recognized this year are 74 pool, hot tub and water features in the design competition, and 18 individuals recognized for their contribution to the aquatic industry. The APSP Georgia Chapter earned top honors. Check your mail for the latest issue of AQUA Magazine for features on all the winners. The award recipients will be honored during the APSP Awards Reception, Nov. 1, 2016, in New Orleans. Individual photos of the award winners can be viewed at APSP.org/AwardsGallery.

The APSP Mid Atlantic Chapter Board welcomed three members to its 2017 Board of Directors. Catherine Lowe, Virginia Pool Services; Willa Whitacre, Reston Association; and Sandy Bass, Amato/Amchlor Industries joined the Board of Directors at their September meeting.
During the meeting, Lance Harting, Poolservice Company moved to the role of past president as Cathie Lowe began her term as president. Will Whitacre is the new vice president and Sandy Bass is the secretary. Doug Winkler, Winkler Pool Management returns to the board as the treasurer and Brian St. Clair is the member at large.

Last week, the APSP WAVE Young Professionals Network Steering Committee had their yearly retreat in Washington, D.C. We'd like to thank Lonza and Zodiac Pool Systems, Inc. for their continued support of our young professionals at the retreat and throughout the upcoming year. The WAVE Young Professionals Network, aimed at the next generation of pool, spa and hot tub professionals, are the industry's and the association's future leaders.
