In young male cancer survivors with low testosterone levels, testosterone replacement therapy is associated with an improvement in body composition, according to a new study published in PLOS Medicine by Richard Ross of University of Sheffield and colleagues.
Young male cancer survivors have lower testosterone levels than the healthy population, associated with increased trunk fat mass and worse quality of life than matched controls.

Writing in Clinical Infectious Diseases, Dr. Jason P. The presence of the fungus Aspergillus has forced the closing of 11 operating rooms at Seattle Children’s Hospital, marking the second such closure in 2019. All 14 of the hospital’s operating rooms will be closed later in the week, said hospital spokeswoman Kathryn Mueller. "On Nov. 10, routine air test results revealed the presence of Aspergillus in the air in three of our operating rooms and two procedural areas," Mueller said.
