New Podcast Series Launched!

Multimedia Delivery Committee

GBA’s newly formed Multimedia Delivery Committee just published the first two episodes of a new audio-education series for field professionals. This series was originally available as downloadable audio files, designed for one-on-one listening by technicians who work in the field. Like other GBA audio education programs, Fundamentals of Field Representation uses dramatization to make its points. The roles are played by professional actors, supplemented by sound effects.

In each episode, Tiffany Vorhies (SME) and Ryan White (PBS Engineering and Environmental) play the original audio and follow up with a discussion, including their own personal lessons learned from many years of experience in the industry as both field reps and technical leaders.

Episode 1 - Field Representatives and the Law
Episode 2 - The Duty of Care

Peer Review User's Guide – Updated

Peer Review Committee

GBA Peer Review is a voluntary program through which knowledgeable peer practitioners evaluate policies and procedures affecting the quality of a firm’s services and assess the effectiveness with which those policies and procedures are implemented. GBA recommends that firms undergo a GBA Peer Review at least once every five years. The GBA Peer Review program is open only to GBA members.

The Peer Review Committee recently updated the Peer Review User’s Guide, to include both an on-site review option and a virtual review option.  This valuable resource is available free for all members.

From what I see, most of these efforts are off track.

By Brett Buxbaum, CESCO, COSS on March 07, 2022

Concrete work is usually hard physical labor that presents many different hazards for the individuals who work in this field.
