Flu Shot Information for Transplant Recipients and Candidates AST The AST supports the CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommendations that all individuals older than 6 months of age who do not have contraindications to vaccination, including those with immunocompromising conditions (including organ transplant candidates and recipients) receive a routine annual influenza vaccination. Please be aware that this recommendation applies to the general public and is especially important for health care workers and household contacts. Estimating Alloantibody Levels in Highly‐Sensitized Renal Allograft Candidates: Using Serial Dilutions to Demonstrate a Treatment Effect in Clinical Trials American Journal of Transplantation Small reductions in cPRA are associated with increased kidney transplantation in 100% cPRA patients. However, the high level of antibody in these patients is such that desensitization may reduce antibody but not cPRA, thus the cPRA change on undiluted serum with desensitization is an insensitive measure of effectiveness. i‐IFTA and Chronic Active T‐Cell Mediated Rejection: A Tale of 2 (DeKAF) Cohorts American Journal of Transplantation Inflammation in areas of fibrosis (i‐IFTA) in posttransplant biopsies is part of the diagnostic criteria for chronic active TCMR (CA TCMR ‐‐ i‐IFTA≥2, ti≥2, t≥2). Each of these is associated with adverse clinical consequences in the non-CKD population, which may explain the high prevalence of dementia and stroke in ESKD.
