Engaging Leadership and Making the Case for Telehealth
    Sunday, May 18
    8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
    Meeting Room 316

This advanced-level course takes the next step in the evolution of business strategy for developing and continually supporting telehealth initiatives by focusing on engaging executive-level teams. Many organizations look to the executive leadership team to make strategic decisions regarding developing and moving forward with a telehealth strategy; however, the dialogue and discussion often develop at a different organizational level and lack the program data, a strategic link, an executive-level briefing, or simple marketing to move forward with or expand a telehealth program. Hidden in each program’s daily success are data that can be put together in a fiscally meaningful argument, lend significant value and persuasion to any presentation regarding telehealth to executive leadership and organizational stakeholders. This course provides the participant with information on how telehealth impacts community benefit and how to use community benefit as a tool with executive leadership.

The afternoon session explores the ways in which technology has been implemented in real-world programs, focusing on how to address human factors in technology, videoconferencing across multiple networks, and integrating disparate data systems.
