| FEATURED SESSION OF THE WEEK |
AUTM
In this session, we will discuss strategies for doing things differently to build and protect your reputation. A technology transfer office (TTO) cannot convince an inventor to disclose her life's work, or a shrewd business development attorney to license that work without a positive reputation. Thanks to the wonders of the internet and social media, it has never been easier to get the word out and build your reputation. It has also never been more dangerous.
It takes a team to develop and maintain a TTO's brand of competence and fairness, and that team includes everyone. Every time someone from your office interacts with the public, in person or through social media, it is impacting your TTO's reputation. Listen how these expert panelists conceive, build and manage their TTO's reputation through their website and social media presence. You will also learn which social media avenues are right for your TTO and strategies for maintaining an effective web presence.

Principal component analysis reveals a strong, overarching, 40-year long shift away from words associated with material subject matter and toward the domain of information.

In a preclinical study in mice and human cells, researchers report that selectively removing old or "senescent" cells from joints could stop and even reverse the progression of osteoarthritis. The findings, published in Nature Medicine, support growing evidence that senescent cells contribute to age-related diseases and demonstrate that using drug therapies to remove them from the joint not only reduces the development of posttraumatic osteoarthritis, but creates an environment for new cartilage to grow and repair joints.
