• Our mission is to promote and enhance the general welfare of our dealer members by providing a timely source of industry information, representing dealer interests in government regulation and legislation, enhancing dealer and employee education, supporting equitable dealer/manufacturer relations and offering specific business-related services which enhance the success and profitability of dealer members.

To provide customers with more finely chopped vegetation and easier maintenance, John Deere introduces the HX6 and HX7 Rotary Cutters. These machines offer new features such as a deeper cutting chamber and double-deck design that improve overall performance. Rocky's Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of $0.0675 per common share on the company's outstanding common shares. The common share dividend is payable on Dec. 31, 2012, to shareholders of record at close of business on Nov. 30, 2012. More

Power equipment stocks rally after Superstorm Sandy

As the New York-New Jersey area recovers from Superstorm Sandy, electricity remains spotty and power plants need repair. That has caused some electrical equipment stocks to jump. One of the beneficiaries is Generac Holdings, a maker of backup generators. Its shares jumped 21 per cent last week in the aftermath of Sandy. The stock hit a new high and is now well extended from a three-weeks-tight pattern it formed in mid-October. More

Siemens to supply power equipment to Venezuela

German industrial conglomerate Siemens AG said that it has received an order from Spanish engineering company Elecnor SA to supply equipment for power plants in Venezuela. The power plants, which are a part of Juan Manuel Valdez Guiria project, will be constructed in two phases. The plant to be constructed in phase one will have a total capacity of 700 megawatts and will start operating in 2015. More

Fiat Industrial Q3 profits up 30 per cent

Fiat Industrial SpA, the Italian maker of trucks, farming and construction equipment, reported a 30 per cent increase in third-quarter earnings on 'robust' sales of tractors and farm combines. Net profit was €260 million ($337 million) in the quarter ending Sept. 30, up from €182 million last year. Revenues were €6.3 billion ($8.2 billion). Fiat Industrial, which is based in the northern city of Turin, firmed up its full-year forecasts for the capital goods business, which was spun off from the Italian car business last year. It said net income for the year would total €900 million on revenues above €25 billion. More

Bison to add 15 LNG tractors in Alberta

Bison Transport has announced it will deploy 15 natural gas-powered tractors in Alberta. The company inked a five-year deal with Shell Canada to fuel the trucks at Shell stations in Calgary, Edmonton and Red Deer. Bison is the first fleet to sign on with Shell, as it rolls out the first of its chain LNG fuelling stations in Alberta. More

Briggs & Stratton to acquire Brazilian power equipment maker

Engine and generator maker Briggs & Stratton has agreed to acquire a Brazilian power equipment maker for $60 million, the company has announced. Wauwatosa-based Briggs is buying Companhia Caetano Branco, which makes generators, water pumps and other outdoor power equipment used primarily in light commercial applications in Brazil. Branco has annual sales of $40 million, with operating margins of 13 per cent to 17 per cent, and 150 employees. More
