The federal income tax filing deadline was postponed three months, from April 15 to July 15 and now, the state has confirmed that Connecticut's income tax filing deadline has also been moved to July 15. This allows taxpayers additional time to compile and file. Taxpayers who are owed refunds may file any time between now and July 15.

Operation Fuel is still taking orders for fuel deliveries through April 30 for the needy. Qualifications for homeowners are the same as for the state’s fuel assistance program. The big difference with Operation Fuel is that fuel marketers get paid their full margin for deliveries, and payment is faster than the state plan. Even with the current emergency situation, we are told Operation Fuel is paying vendors in under 30 days.
