After a few safety related incidents involving employees of the Department of Consumer Protection (DCP), the department have implemented a new policy while inspecting VTMs. The policy going forward is to require that the driver exit the cab of the vehicle being tested. A couple of DCP employees were injured when drivers began to pull away while a meter inspection was in progress.
