The Connecticut Insurance Department (CID) has lowered the average rate hike that Wallingford insurer Anthem requested for its large group health plans. Anthem Health Plans had asked to increase rates on its large group health insurance policies for employers with 51 or more workers by an average of 16.4 percent. The Insurance Department lowered the request to 14.6 percent, regulatory filings shows.
