PAMEA Symposium cancellation notice
Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
To all supporters of the Pacific Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Association Annual Symposium. Due to the lack of Delegate registrations for the 2013 Symposium, the Committee has decided to cancel the January event at the Sheraton hotel in Richmond. We cannot justify bringing Exhibitors, speakers and special guests out to the event when we cannot promise adequate attendance by delegates. Any funds that have been forwarded for booth space, delegate registration fees or donations will be returned to the senders.

This has not been an easy decision to make but as we drew closer to the date, it became obvious that the turnout was not going to be there.

We will take some time in the next few months to review our approach to putting on this show and decide if this should be an ongoing event for the Pacific AME Association.

To those who stepped up and signed up we thank you. We hope that if we decide on a 2014 Symposium and Trade Show a more aggressive base will be there to support the efforts of the committee's efforts.

The 21st century airport is not simply a place where travel begins and ends; it's a vast, multifarious and self-contained environment. Neither urban nor suburban, it may best be understood as a landscape, a man-made ecology that encompasses elements of the natural world as well as the city. Though much of the airport is hidden from public view, literally invisible, it functions as a fully formed entity that must meet virtually every human need and get us to our planes on time. More
