Pool Rules
We need some feedback on what other agencies are doing these days when it comes to pool rules. Do you allow shirts or any street clothes in the pool? We have seen an increase in the number of patrons coming in to swim in street clothes.
Do you have child rest periods aka Adult Swim periods to give children a rest from using the pool? If so, how long is the rest period and how often are they done?

Tennis Facility Question
Hello! I'm looking to connect with a few staff that manage tennis programs specifically at a facility. We have a rec center (basically a gym) with an affordable rate of $33/month which includes access to the shared-use tennis courts.
Questions:
Do your pass holders pay anything additional to play tennis on top of their normal pass?
Do you have lights?
Are you a joint-use with a school facility?
If yes- what types of programs do you offer during the high school tennis seasons?
Please email me if you have anything to share!

Social services, parks, code enforcement priorities in Stanislaus County budget plan
The Modesto Bee
A Stanislaus County budget plan released recently would add staff positions to handle the increased demand for mental health and social services. Residents could also expect to see better park maintenance and stronger code enforcement if county leaders approve the budget for the fiscal year that begins July 1.

More study to slow action on American Canyon Parks & Rec needs?
Vallejo Times-Herald
American Canyon City Council members will consider increasing — by no more than $31,160 — the contract with the firm conducting the Parks and Recreation Department's Needs Assessment, to allow the addition of an operational audit. This is being suggested despite at least one commissioner questioning whether this will slow progress in meeting needs already identified. During the 2013-2014 visioning process, city officials learned "that residents greatly appreciate their parks and recreation programs and facilities and desire to have more," according to the staff report.
Roanoke County bringing new life to Explore Park
The Roanoke Times
When Roanoke County, Virginia parks director Doug Blount envisions Explore Park he sees a full-service adventure park and tourist destination complete with hiking trails, boating, fishing, campgrounds, a ropes course and overnight accommodations. In coming weeks, when the county finalizes the master plan for Explore Park's future, the 1,100-acre area on the Blue Ridge Parkway will be one step closer to Blount's vision and will likely see more development in upcoming years.
