Online book shopping overtakes in-store for first time
The Bookseller
Print book sales showed "continuing resilience" in 2014, with overall spending on print and digital titles increasing across the year. Meanwhile, online book buying overtook in-store book buying for the first time last year.
In 2014, sales of print and e-books stood at £2.2bn, up 4% from the previous year. The data was revealed at Nielsen Book's annual conference, BookInsights.

Instagram just launched a new app to let you create photo collages

Instagram just launched a new standalone app called Layout that lets users easily create photo collages by combining multiple photos from their phone into a single image. Users can simply drag and drop images into one of Layout's eight photo formats (all of which can be tweaked by dragging the borders of each frame), and every collaged photo can also be mirrored or flipped.
