Alan Brockbank — Forever In Our Hearts
IAPSC
It is with great sadness that we report the unexpected passing of long-time IAPSC leader, Alan Brockbank. Alan was an amazing individual who helped so many during his life — he will truly be missed.
For those of you who didn’t have the pleasure of knowing Alan personally, he was the owner of B-Secure Consulting in Morrisonville, NY. For over nine years, he volunteered his time as an Executive Committee member & Membership Chair for IAPSC. In that time, Alan has worked with numerous members to help them be as successful as possible and always saw the good in everyone.
Alan will be remembered by his loving wife Shelly, his children, and the countless lives he positively impacted.
IAPSC’s founder, Charles Sennwald, shares this tribute to Alan:
“God’s will be done. Alan was a blessing to the IAPSC. I was honored by his visit to my home at the beginning of his presidency to hear any suggestions or advice I would share so he could better serve our organization. May the Lord comfort Shelly and his children. Rest in peace, my friend.”
Our hearts and prayers go out to Alan’s close family and friends during this tremendously difficult time. If you have any questions, please contact us at IAPSC@IAPSC.org.

If you feel there is an eavesdropping, information loss, or espionage problem at work—or personally—take it seriously. Trust your instincts. This is not a normal thought. The thought would not have crossed your mind if everything were fine, something is wrong. You never hear about successful eavesdropping or espionage attacks. You’re not supposed to. It’s a covert act. This apparent quiet gives victims a false sense of security. Not only is information theft prevalent and invisible, it is also silent. Discovery relies heavily on the victim’s intuition and preparedness to handle the problem. Learn how to fight back…

The anatomy of a cyberattack on your business
South Florida Business Journal
Cybercriminals bank on small businesses being easy targets, and the COVID-19 pandemic has only made it easier for them to wreak havoc, experts say.
As technology companies make long-term plans for increased or full remote work, it's left the door open for more cyberattacks, sometimes against companies least prepared for them. But it's a potentially high-cost problem for companies with or without a central office.

Imagine intruders break into your home and loiter undetected for months, spying on you and deciding which contents to steal.
