Organizers are trying to lock in 2022 dates before making a formal announcement.
Organizers of the Ultra Music Festival are ready to cancel this year's event, but are requesting that City of Miami officials approve their permit request to stage the event next year before making a formal announcement, according to a letter obtained by Billboard. This will mark the second year in a row Ultra has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Kentucky Derby Festival will happen in 2021 — but don't plan to attend your favorite events in person.
Kentucky Derby Festival President and CEO Matt Gibson announced Tuesday that a "tribute" to Thunder Over Louisville will happen on April 17, but without the traditional crowd of spectators. The same goes for the Pegasus Parade — it'll happen this year, Gibson said, but with no people in attendance.

On Wednesday, Vancouver city council voted in favour of a motion to seek COVID-19 funding from the senior governments.
Lisa Dominato, Vancouver city councillor and chair of PNE board, submitted the motion and says the assistance is desperately needed in order to see the PNE survive the pandemic.

SXSW announces first round of artists for 2021 online music festival

SXSW (aka South by Southwest), the annual music, film, and interactive conference/festival in Austin, Texas, has just announced the first round of artists to perform during the music portion of the festival, which is going to be held virtually this year as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The lineup includes acts such as A Place to Bury Strangers, Braids, Holy Fuck, Indigo Sparke, Say Sue Me, Sorry, Squid, TV Priest, and Virginia Wing.

The Sounds Like Summer music festival, which was due to take place on Sunday, January 31, was expected to amass crowds of more than 1500 people. It was to be held at Omaha, about half an hour's drive up the coast from Ōrewa, where the two new cases – a father and a daughter – are believed to live.

NFL to give free Super Bowl tickets to 7,500 health workers, cap attendance at about 22,000

The NFL announced Friday that 7,500 health care workers vaccinated for the coronavirus will be given free tickets to next month's Super Bowl to be played in Tampa, Florida.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell also said in a news release that attendance at the Feb. 7 game would be limited to those workers and about 14,500 other fans. Raymond James Stadium, home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has a capacity of just under 66,000, according to its website .

The PPP, implemented by section 1102 of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, expanded the Small Business Administration (SBA) 7(a) loan program to provide up to $349 billion — increased by an additional $310 billion on April 24, 2020 — in 100% federally-guaranteed loans to small employers and eligible self-employed individuals impacted by COVID-19.
