The Powerful Thinking campaign was announced on April 24 at a launch event where presentations from suppliers of temporary solar, wind, kinetic, fuel cell and biodiesel power presented a vision of a low carbon future to festival promoters from some of the U.K.'s best-loved festivals. In an announcement, Live Nation — the world's biggest live music company, whose divisions include Ticketmaster — also said that James Barton, Cream's founder, would become the president of its Live Nation Electronic Music division, and that the company planned more dance events. Proposed ordinance would limit activity of mobile food trucks Sheboygan Press Share ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The Sheboygan Common Council will consider approving a new ordinance that would keep mobile food trucks away from festivals and other events like the farmers market at Fountain Park. Under the ordinance, food vendors would be prohibited from parking within 500 feet of a "fair, farmers market, festival, carnival" or other special event licensed by the city unless the vendor obtains a permit to be part of the event or has permission from the organizers of the event. Those are but a few of the events and acts that the Festivals, Events and Animation Oversight Committee intends to bring to Whistler, B.C., this year, as outlined in a report. With a budget of $2.685 million, the committee — comprised of Whistler stakeholders — laid out a detailed plan of what it hopes to achieve for 2012, as well as plans for the future.
