Recently, CBSN New York's Nina Kapur got a sneak peek at the floats that we'll see in this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Each of the brand new floats were designed with the audience in mind. For example, the New York Life float features a dollhouse, and in each room, a family milestone is celebrated — everything from having a baby to gathering around the table for a Thanksgiving meal is on display.

The 93rd Thanksgiving Day parade in Detroit will feature a number of celebrity guests and new floats, and the theme for this year’s parade is "Detroit Shining Bright."
Local big names include 1984 Detroit Tigers World Champions Lance Parrish and Dave Rozema, Disney star Isaac Ryan Brown, and 2019 Rocket Mortgage Classic Champion Nate Lashley.

61% of respondents said they still preferred a Greenfield festival over other types like city or seaside festivals.
Unsurprisingly, 35% chose camping as their preferred mode of accommodation during a festival. Just above 20% said they preferred to go home an sleep in their own bed, followed by just under who said their favorite means of spending the night was in a hotel offsite.

Music tourism in Northern Ireland generated £90m of spending in 2018, according to a new report.
It was compiled by U.K. Music, the industry body of the British music industry.
The figure includes money spent on things like tickets, merchandise and accommodation as well as spending by organizers running an event. The report said that in 2018 the total contribution of the music industry to the U.K. economy overall was £5.2 billion.

The mass shooting that killed 58 people in Las Vegas in 2017 has claimed another victim. Fox 12 in Oregon reports that a woman who was shot and paralyzed in the shooting rampage has died as a result of her injuries.
Vancouver resident Dena Sarvela tells Fox 12 that her sister, Kim Gervais, was among those who were seriously injured on Oct. 1, 2017, when a lone gunman opened fire on the audience at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas from a hotel room contiguous to the concert site. Her injuries left her paralyzed.
