Interior Design
Many designers fantasize about opening their own hotel, but Edge & Lines co-owners Julie and Greg Schwartzenberger made that a reality. With bright ideas and hard work, they transformed a 1947 motor court on a corner lot in Florida’s Atlantic Beach into the Hotel Palms: 10 rooms and a suite spread across 4,000 square feet and a verdant courtyard.
“The design concept is Old Florida Vernacular,” Julie says, which means art installations with leafy details, wallpaper inspired by the bootjack structure of local palm trees, custom furniture in reclaimed wood, and color-saturated pillows.

Boutique Design

Designed soup to nuts by multidisciplinary firm Brand Bureau, (a sister yet stand-alone studio to AvroKO), The Holler is located within 8th Street Market—mixed-use entertainment, dining, and shopping destination that is centered around the development of the town’s first culinary school.

Dexigner
For their second project for an Australian financial services group, align was briefed to design 13,745 square feet of new working, meeting, presentation, and break-out space across 1.5 stories at their client's City of London offices in order to meet a period of sustained growth and house three divisions of the company, totaling around 150-170 people.
align had previously worked on an office interiors scheme in Reading for the same client, before being instructed to create this new Cat A and Cat B scheme, where the brief was to include integrated, but differentiated, zones that worked within the overall building environment with a pronounced accent on biophilia, agile working, and staff wellbeing.

The ornate wall panels of a previously hidden nineteenth-century atrium informed the transformation into a steak restaurant by design duo Humbert & Poyet.
Beefbar Paris has been decked out in sumptuous jewel tones to complement the art nouveau wall panelling that appears in the main dining atrium, creating what Humbert & Poyet describe as a "game between sobriety and eccentricity." This is the eighth Beefbar to open, joining worldwide branches in locations such as Monaco, Hong Kong, and Budapest.

Wellness-focused resort CIVANA has newly revealed a $50 million renovation and repositioning of its spa. Nestled within the Sonoran Desert outside of Scottsdale, Arizona, the restorative retreat now emphasizes sustainability throughout its two story, 22,000-square-foot oasis. Ben Meyer and Anissa Mendil of the local firm 3rd Story were tapped to oversee the creation of the luxurious space and its 28 treatment areas.
