If it’s difficult to pinpoint the location of Enso Ango, it’s because the hotel is actually made up of five bases dispersed across charming side streets in central Kyoto, to encourage guests to walk around and discover the city.
“ENSO” refers to the Zen concept that “everything is connected in a great circle.” Ango Hotels, the firm behind Enso Ango, explained that the dispersed hotel concept aims to take the traveler out of a linear experience of Kyoto and into an organic, free-flowing route of the city.

Glossy green paint coats the bottom half of this bright white restaurant in Athens, which design studio AK-A has finished with deep red accents. Lollo's Atene has been designed with "simple, fresh, and wholesome" interiors that match the rustic Italian dishes offered on the menu.
The restaurant, which has another branch on the Greek island of Antiparos, occupies a 1950s residence in Chalandri, an up-and-coming suburb in north Athens populated by a growing number of cafes and cocktail bars.

An immense crystalline chandelier in silvery white and champagne gold dominates the ballroom, a luxurious shipboard take on a traditional Italian piazza. In the adjoining atrium, a lustrous brass pendulum hangs down a three-deck stairwell to hover over a large flat astrolabe—a tribute to ancient instruments of celestial navigation. When they first embarked on the project for Celebrity Cruises, Interior Design Hall of Fame member Patrick Jouin and his Jouin Manku partner Sanjit Manku were neophyte seafarers. Jouin, born in Nantes, knew the famous shipyards along France’s Atlantic coast, and his grandfather had been a welder for the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, where Celebrity Edge was built, but he had never set foot aboard a cruise.

When First Tech Federal Credit Union commissioned a new corporate office in the Portland, Oregon, suburb of Hillsboro, the idea was to be near tech-industry clients in what’s known as the Silicon Forest. But then the company purchased a 17-acre plot bordering a small wetland preserve there, and a different kind of motivation emerged: to build an office that could feel as inviting as a green space.
To Portland’s Hacker Architects, that meant building with wood, specifically cross-laminated timber (CLT), a technology long prevalent in Europe that has slowly gained traction in the United States.

The Tottenham Hotspur Football Club has inaugurated its new stadium in north London. The latest stadium design in the Populous portfolio, the highly versatile Tottenham Hotspur Stadium accommodates 62,062 seats including 17,500 seats spread across the South Stand, which is now the largest single-tier stand in the U.K. Topped with a glass walkway, the South Stand is designed to create a wall of sound within the arena, while reflective panels on the underside of the roof minimize the loss of crowd noise as well.
