It’s a stellar example of adaptive reuse. What was originally constructed in 1512 as the Hospital de San Sebastián by Spanish architect Hernán Ruiz is today the Palacio de Congresos de Córdoba, a conference and exhibition center recently renovated by LAP Arquitectos. Over the five-century span, when the building transitioned into just maternity functions, and then Palacio de Congresos in 1985, its Gothic and Renaissance stylings were given the highest level of historic protection, meaning LAP had to modernize the 28,000 square feet of interior space without altering the structure itself.

74 has designed a two-story student clubhouse amenity at Symons House in Leeds for London and Scottish Student Housing—within a brand-new building by Cunniff Design. 74 also created the project's branding and wayfinding.
Symons House takes the form of a reverse L-shape building, with seven stories located on its lower horizontal plane and twenty-one on the vertical upright section. Both the building's ground and lower-ground stories, where the amenities spaces are located, stand out by being indented from the main building above and also by featuring glazed walls.

Casa Popeea’s storied, albeit tumultuous, history laid the groundwork for its revival. The Art Nouveau-style mansion in Brăila, Romania, was built in 1900 by a Greek merchant, partially destroyed in a fire in 1923, and eventually confiscated by the Socialist regime after World War II. The structure was then left largely unattended and, in turn, suffered severe neglect up until 2005, when a number of emergency renovations were conducted to save it from collapse.
Just over a decade later, London-based architecture and design studio Manea Kella, along with local practice Penta Stil Studio, was enlisted to rebuild the more than 8,500-square-foot historical monument.
