If you want to step into your professional power, you need to know your value. You can't take it for granted that employers will pay you fairly, and you can't assume that recruiters who contact you will see your value either. You have to know what you are worth on the marketplace — and why. Unfortunately, plenty of employers and their recruiters will try to low-ball job-seekers.

As a professor of leadership and management and author of a bestselling leadership book, I get asked a lot, "What's the difference between leadership and management?"
