Sea blues, sunny yellows, and bold monochromatic stripes appear throughout this boutique hotel, designed by artist Camille Walala to complement the landscape of Mauritius.
The Salt of Palmar hotel occupies a riad-style building on the east coast of the far-flung island. It contains 59 guest suites, a restaurant, and a spa, all of which Camille Walala has decked out in tropical hues and graphic prints. It is the first in a series of Salt-brand hotels that resort group Lux plans to open in the coming months, and will soon be joined by outposts in Turkey and China.

RH has opened a luxurious outpost that combines retail with food, wine, and art in the heart of California’s Napa Valley. The new RH Yountville features an indoor-outdoor restaurant where patrons can dine under a soaring glass roof surrounded by olive trees, sparkling crystal chandeliers, and dramatic 7-foot fountains. The five-building complex also includes a two-story wine vault in a landmark, early twentieth-century building that was originally home to one of Napa’s first vintners. It has been transformed with a 24-foot. cedar ceiling, rough-cut fieldstone walls, luxe lounge seating, and a monumental limestone bar.

Contract Design
Shoreditch, the east-London neighborhood known in recent years for its eclectic spirit and artistic vibe, has added yet another trendy hotel and restaurant duo to its offerings. In a project commissioned by Raycliff investment group, London-based 31/44 Architects completed a three-year redevelopment and fusion of two side-by-side buildings on a central Shoreditch block bound by Redchurch Street, Club Row, and Whitby Street, while Soho House Design transformed the interiors.
