Can you spare a minute or two?
ISAE
As ISAE shifts to a volunteer managed association, more members will be needed to help with some day to day, special event, and strategic tasks. Currently, the Communications Action Team is in need of some individuals to help with some of those tasks. The need is great but not impossible. Many tasks can be broken down or be very time specific. They are looking to recruit as many as possible to build up the team and create depth in our talent pool. As for what specifically you would be doing, it varies but projects in the hopper are: Membership Dues, Meeting promotion, and Annual Convention. If interested, please reach out to Communications Action Team (CAT) Chair Rachel Romines, Director of Communications at IIA of Illinois. Remember moving forward TOGETHER we can do so much.

How to identify the most important tasks
SmartBrief
As leaders, we are faced with many tasks to complete. If we don’t choose carefully, we will often work on the wrong tasks rather than the right ones. By “right,” I mean the tasks that will produce the optimal results and address the most critical issues they face. I also refer to the tasks that we are uniquely qualified and positioned to be working on ourselves instead of delegating to someone else.

How dedicated community management is helping these 3 organizations level up engagement
Higher Logic
We all want more engagement in our online communities. We all want our communities to be essential parts of our users’ lives. There’s nothing more disappointing than launching a community and seeing it sit there, inactive.
And it makes sense, because without people coming, engaging, and returning, how can we reap the benefits that we know our communities can offer our organizations, like loyalty, satisfaction, and advocacy?

Follow these 7 steps to create a nonprofit marketing plan
Wild Apricot
Having worked with hundreds of nonprofits over the years, I can tell you that nonprofits who develop and follow a well-thought-out marketing plan grow faster and make a bigger impact than those who don’t. The success of Sarah Rintamaki, the founder of a small nonprofit called Connecting for Kids, is a great example. She attributes her 300% growth in three years to the marketing plan she followed.

How to land sponsorships for your virtual events
Association Success
The coronavirus has dramatically changed the way associations run live workshops and events. It’s also changed how they get them sponsored.
Moving to a 100% virtual environment is a great safety precaution, but it doesn’t come without its challenges. This is especially true when it comes to meeting revenue goals.

.LEADERSHIP / MANAGEMENT
How to assess your association's culture
Association Success
If your association has seen high employee turnover, declining membership numbers and overall poor productivity, it might be time to step back and take a hard look at your organization’s culture.
But before you can do that, you need to take a closer look at how you respond to negative constructive feedback.
