Today, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) issued a notice in the NIH Guide to Grants and Contracts seeking comment on a Draft Behavioral and Social Clinical Trial Template. The template was created to guide investigators through the systematic development of a comprehensive clinical protocol and will be especially helpful to investigators who are less familiar with the information and the level of detail that is required in such a protocol. The template has also been tailored specifically for studies involving a social or behavioral intervention.
Comments on the draft template will be accepted through Oct. 11, 2018, and can be made electronically by visiting here.
For a perspective on the importance of this template, please see the latest Under the Poliscope blog co-authored by Dr. Carrie D. Wolinetz and Dr. William Riley, NIH Director of the Office of Behavioral and Social Science Research (OBSSR)
Questions about this proposal may be sent to the NIH Office of Science Policy at SciencePolicy@od.nih.gov.

While uterus transplantation is still in the experimental stage, it has promising potential as a treatment for women with absolute uterine factor infertility based on the childbirths from living donor trials conducted in Sweden and the United States. We established an audit to determine the point prevalence of HEV viremia in SOT and HSCT patients in the United Kingdom and compare different testing approaches to inform screening strategies.
