With under a month to go until the Super Bowl on Feb. 5, CNBC takes a look some of the brands involved in one of sport's most commercial ventures.
Last year's broadcaster CBS was said to be charging $5 million for a 30-second advertising slot during the event, according to CBS president and CEO Leslie Moonves speaking on a quarterly earnings call in August 2015, while this year's broadcaster Fox is thought to be pushing for more than $5 million according to a source cited by Variety.

The National Association of Concessionaires (NAC) has announced that a new Concession Manager Certification Course (CCM) has been added on Feb. 13-16 in Atlanta, Georgia. The class will be held at Regal Hollywood Stadium 24, located at 3265 Northeast Expressway. Class times are Monday-Wednesday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., and Thursday at 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. DON'T MISS YOUR OPPORTUNITY for in-depth classroom training on recreational and leisure-time concessions and foodservice operations! The Mickey Warner Award is bestowed upon an individual each year by NAC to recognize leadership and significant accomplishments in the non-movie concession industry. A new study, published in PLoS ONE, found that consumption of hot red chili peppers was associated with a 13 percent lower risk of death.
The research is observational, so no cause and effect relationship can be established. Still, the authors say the study strengthens the growing body of evidence that spicy food may have protective health properties that can lead to a longer life.
