Dippin' Dots expanding distribution to pharmacies, convenience stores

Ice cream and frozen treat maker Dippin' Dots LLC said that its products will be carried by Fred's Super Dollar stores soon. Dippin' Dots, whose products have traditionally only been available to consumers at entertainment venues like theme parks or stadiums, is expanding its points of presence by placing freezers in retail outlets including pharmacies and convenience stores. Since launching this strategy earlier this year, the company has signed close to 1,200 new pharmacies and convenience stores across the country.

New nutrition standards may make students healthier but hurt the bottom line

And with 20 percent of the school food service budget relying on the sale of snack foods, that could cause a revenue problem, say officials in Wake County, N.C.

New Vikings stadium concessionaire picked for its 'unique' food and beverage strategy
Minneapolis-St Paul Business Journal
Aramark will operate all of the food and beverage concessions at the new Minnesota Vikings stadium. The Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority announced it has entered negotiations with the Philadelphia-based company after selecting it as the winning bidder. The MSFA also received proposals from Morrissey Hospitality, Centerplate, Levy, Delaware North, and Legends. The other finalists were Delaware North and Levy.
