The National Association of Concessionaires (NAC) will award a $100 Best Buy Gift Card to the next five current members who sponsor a new full member. The Gift Cards have been donated by Adam Gottleib, ACS, EVP Sales and Procurement for Continental Concession Supplies, Inc. In order to count as a sponsorship, the referred member must be a full member and not from the same company or organization (associate member).

World food prices edged up in October to continue an upward trend since January, the United Nations food agency said, adding that prospects for global cereal output had improved. Barring a slight dip in July, the Food and Agriculture Organization's food price index has steadily increased from a seven-year low hit in the first month of this year, reports Reuters.

Although testing by Blue Bell Creameries in September revealed listeria contamination and spurred recalls by Blue Bell, three other ice cream companies and a cookie dough manufacturer, a fifth ice cream company just announced a recall, saying it wasn't notified about the problem until recently.
"Cedar Crest was notified Nov. 10 that the cookie dough in the referenced products, which is manufactured by Aspen Hills Inc., has the potential to be contaminated with listeria monocytogenes," according to the recall notice posted by Cedar Crest Specialities Inc. of Cedarburg, Wisconsin.

The U.K. has a chocolate bar crisis on its hands: the beloved Swiss chocolate bar is unrecognizable.
Toblerone, the classic chocolate bar with almond-and-honey-filled triangle chunks, recently lost weight. In two sizes, the triangles shrunk, leaving wider gaps of chocolate. The 400-gram bar was reduced to a 360-gram bar and the 170-gram was reduced to 150 grams.
"Like many other companies, we are experiencing higher costs for numerous ingredients ... we have had to reduce the weight of just two of our bars in the UK," the company said on Facebook.
