The National Association of Concessionaires (NAC) has announced that Andrew Cretors, ACS, President of C. Cretors and Co., has been selected as the 2017 Bert Nathan Memorial Award Honoree. The Bert Nathan Memorial Award is given by NAC each year to an individual to recognize leadership and significant accomplishment in the theatre concessions industry. The award honors the late Bert Nathan, a past president of the association and a leader in the theatre concessions industry. Cretors will be presented the award at the CinemaCon All-Industry Award Breakfast scheduled for Tuesday, March 28 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

In a dramatic last-minute development, a federal judge in Texas today blocked the U.S. Department of Labor's (USDOL's) overtime rule from taking effect on December 1, handing an eleventh-hour victory to employers across the country. Agreeing with arguments posed by concerned states and business groups, the judge issued a preliminary injunction preventing the rules from being implemented on a nationwide basis.

PepsiCo Inc said it would buy health beverage maker KeVita Inc, in an effort to diversify its soft drinks business and tap health conscious consumers.
California-based KeVita offers more than two dozen flavors of probiotic drinks, and all its drinks are certified organic, gluten-free and vegan, PepsiCo said in a statement.
