Over the last year, several major manufacturers have introduced hybrid lines: composite deck boards encased in an all-vinyl "capstock." More November construction starts jump 35 percent from October Reed Construction Data Share ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reed Construction Data announced recently that the year-to-date value of construction starts through November, excluding residential contracts, totaled $241.5 billion, 1.0 percent less than during the same months in 2009. Individual month of November starts were 35 percent above October and 13 percent above last November. November is a seasonally weak month for construction starts. Only February is weaker.
