We're always searching for the "fountain of youth," whether it's in lotions, potions or in-office treatments that claim to turn back the hands of time. Researchers are hard at work trying to figure out the secret to slowing skin aging, and with each report that gets published, they get closer and closer.
One of the latest reports to spark some buzz in the anti-aging arena comes from researchers at the University of Maryland and was published in Scientific Reports.

Life can get stressful and tiring, so the popularity of spas in the U.K. comes as no surprise.
However, while many of us treat ourselves to a massage, facial, or pedicure on occasion, some people are enjoying much more extravgant — and frankly bizarre — treatments. Along with our own research, Business Insider teamed up with members-only luxury booking site Secret Escapes to find out where you can get the most unique — and often the most expensive — spa treatments in the U.K.

A new study suggests a topical human fibroblast growth factor skincare product and a human mesenchymal stem cell growth factor product work similarly to reduce facial wrinkles, and both are safe and well tolerated. Researchers conducted a randomized, double-blind, split-face study on 20 adults with moderate-to-severe facial rhytids.
Chronic sleep deprivation could cause the brain to begin "eating itself" — resulting in significant amount of healthy neurons and synaptic connections to being destroyed.
The findings come from a study, led by neuroscientist Michele Bellesi from the Marche Polytechnic University in Italy, which examined mammalian brains and their response to poor sleeping habits.

You know online reviews from customers are important to your local business — but did you know just how important they are? According to BrightLocal's latest Local Consumer Review Survey, even if your website comes up top in search results, reviews can actually be the deciding factor in whether customers click on you — or your competitor. Here’s what you need to know.
For nearly two decades Cary Collier and Doug Chambers, the innovators behind international spa management and consultancy firm Blu Spas Inc., have been involved with scores of spa projects for the likes of Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, Bulgari, Rosewood, and other luxury brands.
Prior to starting Blu Spas, Texas native Collier had worked in wellness and spa consulting since 1984. Chambers, trained as an attorney in Oklahoma, came into the business from the salon/day spa side of things around 1990. When asked to describe what they do today, the spa leaders stress that they are "not designers, not architects, but rather symphony conductors orchestrating teams to create sensory sanctuaries."
As with most business strategies, interactive marketing can be done very well — or very poorly. Regrettably, Burger King recently made just such a major interactive gaffe. The company's motivation was solid: Get an artificial intelligence platform to be its sales partner. How? Burger King ended a commercial not with a call to action but an odd challenge: "Okay, Google. What's in a Whopper?"

Reconstruction of the nasal lining is the most difficult part of complex nasal reconstruction because the mucosa has a unique texture and fineness. Many techniques, ranging from skin grafts to local flaps, have been applied for the reconstruction of the mucosa. In some cases, even free flaps have been used.

Co-taught lessons should look substantively different and richer for kids than what one teacher would do alone. A co-taught classroom provides more opportunities for students to receive feedback, which allows them to move rapidly toward self-monitoring, adjusting their strategies for success and independence. When instruction is tailored to ensure all students can access the content, it allows for more student independence as they self-monitor success and evaluate fix-up strategies.
