Inclusion begins with understanding the self
Forbes
In his last blog post, Sebastian Bailey explained why many diversity and inclusion initiatives fail: because they focus on diversity at a corporate level in terms of demographics, and don’t address inclusion at an individual level, which is key to realizing the benefits of diverse teams. Whether for a large organization or a start up, creating a culture of inclusion helps individuals feel psychologically safe, which is linked to greater innovation, productivity and retention. So how do you create a culture of inclusion?

Why we need more women in engineering
Design News
A large number of studies have shown that men and women have different approaches to solving complex problems. That’s not to say that all men or all women think alike. To crack the glass ceiling, start with venture capital
Harvard Business Review
This utter failure in breaking the glass ceiling is not for a lack of trying. Sweeping affirmative action legislation, media attention and parental ambition have been energetically directed at creating a meritocracy in business. Our daughters excel in the classroom, on the soccer field, and in dinner table debates with their brothers. And yet the basic truth is that business is not yet really a co-ed sport.
