FAA revokes certificates of Plane Swap pilots

The two pilots who attempted to swap planes on live TV have had their pilot certificates revoked by the FAA.
Luke Aikins and Andy Farrington, cousins, pilots, skydivers, and members of the Red Bull Air Force, attempted to swap Cessna 182s on April 24, 2022, over the desert outside Phoenix, Arizona. The stunt was aired live on Hulu.
The two pilots flew their planes to 12,000 feet, then put the planes in a nosedive. They then jumped out of their planes, attempting to skydive into the other plane and landing it safely.

Flexjet to monitor fleet with GE Digital Mx software

Flexjet has signed on to GE Digital's Maintenance Insight software, making it the first fractional aircraft operator to use the system across its fleet to predict and prevent disruptions and reduce maintenance costs.
The system provides analytics that helps monitor component health to optimize performance and decrease inefficiencies that lead to excess fuel burn and carbon emissions.

Rostec completes tests of the first PD-8 engine prototype

The Rostec United Engine Corporation has successfully completed the bench testing program for the first prototype of the PD-8 engine. The tests confirmed that the engine and its systems can operate according to the basic parameters laid down in the terms of reference, and that the design solutions used in the product are correct.
During the multi-stage tests, the ODK specialists debugged the automatic control systems and stabilized the engine start-up with further idling.

Azzera, a new provider of carbon offsetting and compliance solutions, has introduced services tailored for the business aviation market. Founded by business aviation veterans Puja Mahajan and Nick Houseman, Azzera is launching online services to calculate carbon footprints and roll out a transparent blockchain-based marketplace for trading carbon credits.
The company, which has secured a technology investor/partner and more than $1 million in funding, aims to become a centralized spot-trading carbon market exchange.

According to author Dan Johnson: A new four-stroke engine for Quicksilvers resulting from a fascinating collaboration of two light aircraft companies — a pairing I would not have predicted — was unveiled at the 2022 SUN 'n FUN Aerospace Expo.
Air-Tech, a Quicksilver dealer, and Blackhawk Paramotor got together at the 2021 EAA AirVenture Oshkosh show to hatch this idea (they displayed immediately next to one another and started talking).

StandardAero to acquire EB Airfoils
AINonline
StandardAero has signed an agreement to acquire EB Airfoils, a Palm City, Florida-based aircraft engine fan blade, compressor blade, and vane MRO provider. Operating from two facilities encompassing nearly 20,000 sq ft and with 50 employees, EB Airfoils is one of a few companies in the world that has been granted OEM source approval or source demonstration for the repair and overhaul of those turbine engine components.
