BBA Aviation subsidiary CSE Citation Centre (CSE, Booth D88) has added line station approval to service Embraer Legacy 600 series business jets at its London Luton Airport location. At that facility, the company has operated a mobile service unit (MSU) for the past five years, based at sister company Signature Flight Support's FBO.
"Many of CSE's customers operate the Embraer 600 series aircraft, making this capability a natural extension of our services at London Luton Airport," said Philip Lammiman, CSE's managing director.

At first, Elliot Seguin thought he'd been decapitated. He knew that his brain would briefly keep on ticking after being severed from his body. My last 10 seconds, he said to himself, looking through the hole his tiny turbine-powered airplane had just punched through a trailer.
Skeletons of scrapped 747s cast shadows all around him. He'd taken off from Mojave Air and Space Port, situated in a featureless Southern California plain, miles of nothing extending in every direction.
Citing ongoing market challenges, Dassault Falcon Jet confirmed plans to reduce its workforce company-wide by less than 6 percent. The plans follow a previously implemented "adaptation plan" at its completion center in Little Rock, Arkansas, that involved an early-out program, reduction in number of contractors and an effort to shift certain manufacturing work from subcontractors back in-house, the company said.
As the drone industry gears up to produce technology to knock down their own products, they may find a big customer in the U.S. government. The Trump administration is circulating draft legislation that would give the government sweeping powers to track and destroy drones over the U.S., according to The New York Times.
The proposed legislation is part of a broader law on computer privacy, surveillance and aircraft protection.
MRO Network’s biennial Top 10 MROs World Wide – complete with several ARSA Members – shows the biggest plan to add capabilities focused on next-generation aircraft and engines. Many pointed out that they are investing in analytics to improve predictive maintenance and/or technologies to make operations more efficient.
According to author Christian A. Klein: [Our] industry is caught between Congress and the agency. Recent FAA authorization laws directed the agency to impose drug and alcohol testing on foreign repair stations. There are rumblings on the Hill that the lack of progress has some considering "punishing" the FAA (but really the industry) by banning new repair station certificates.
If you think this sounds familiar, you are right.
Cirrus Aircraft is soon going to have some competition for its recently certified SF50 Vision Jet as Stratos Aircraft announced it has completed the first flight test phase for its Stratos 714 single-engine jet. Since the first flight in November of last year, the test pilots have logged 52 hours during 33 flights, topping out at 320 KTAS and 17,000 feet.
Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) is seeing its new Helios facility, now up and running at Paris Charles-de-Gaulle airport, as key to future market shares. At stake is repairing more composite components on the growing fleets of Boeing 787s and Airbus A350s. A €40 million ($42 million) investment (including equipment), Helios is AFI KLM E&M's spearhead on the new-generation aircraft MRO market.
A Cessna 172, N model, painted in a Snow White base color accented by Capri Blue and solid black stripes was delivered last week to Toledo-Ohio based Suburban Aviation in Southeast Michigan. Originally built more than 25 years ago, Suburban's new airplane is the first upgraded version of an Ascend 172 remanufactured by Yingling Aviation in Wichita.
