Porsche said to target record sales next year on 911 revamp

Porsche AG, the maker of the Cayenne sport-utility vehicle, plans to sell a record 140,000 cars next year on demand for the next generation of the 911 and Boxster models, a person with knowledge of the matter said. More

Now that everyone has spent a wonderful Porsche weekend at Rennsport IV, you need to sign up for the First Annual Tech Tactics Day. The event will held at the Porsche Cars North America Training facility in Ontario, Calif., on Nov. 12 with a spill over day on Nov. 13.
The day will include three PCNA Technical speakers, four members of the PCA Technical Committee including Bruce Anderson and a very special guest from Porsche AG, Dr. Frank Walliser, Project Manger for the 918 Spyder Program. The event is limited to 125 entrants for each day, in order to keep each class size to 25 entrants.

Porsche increases customer deliveries by 37.5 percent
In September 2011, Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, managed yet another significant increase in its customer deliveries: with 10,560 vehicles sold worldwide, the sports car manufacturer achieved an uplift of 37.5 per cent compared with the same month the year before. Between January and September of this year, Porsche delivered a total of 90,972 new cars to customers. This equates to an increase of 30.9 percent compared with the same period in 2010. More

Porsche SE seeks 3.5 billion-euro credit line to pare costs

Porsche SE, the holding company that owns 51 percent of Volkswagen AG's common shares, said it's seeking a 3.5 billion-euro ($4.8 billion) credit line. Part of the deal will be used to replace older loans, according to Frank Gaube, a spokesman for the Stuttgart, Germany-based automaker. The two-year loans are being offered to lenders with an interest margin of 170 basis points more than the euro interbank offered rate, according to bankers with knowledge of the deal. More
