The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued additional travel warnings for pregnant women as the Zika virus outbreak continues. Initially, the CDC listed 14 countries, but they just added eight more countries in South America, the Caribbean and Polynesia. These precautions come after the CDC announced about a dozen cases of Zika virus confirmed in the United States. All of the cases in the U.S. have been in residents who had recently traveled internationally.

Tornadoes, hailstorms and fires took their toll on Texas last year with insured losses well over $3 billion, according to an insurer trade group.
The state had over three times as many claims and almost three times the dollar amount in losses as the next highest ranked states, the Insurance Council of Texas reported.

The Western New York Council on Occupational Safety and Health released a study after analyzing visits to construction sites made by OSHA over a period of a year. The report says in 2014 inspectors found a violation in 83 percent of construction inspections in a 10-county area, including Buffalo and Rochester.
Of those violations, 82 percent were classified as "serious."
