Andy Isaacson: Just me and my RV
The New York Times    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Andy Isaacson writes that he rented his first RV not merely for a mode of transportation but for a set of desirable feelings. He and two friends mapped a plan to ride from Oakland, CA, to Oregon and back in eight days. An RV road trip promised freedom and flexibility, comfort and convenience, and a travel experience unencumbered by the need for reservations, he says. More

Expect lower gas prices heading into Memorial Day
The Associated Press via Yahoo News    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Gas prices should continue to decline heading into Memorial Day, industry experts say. How well do your manufacturers perform in terms of sales and parts support, vehicle design and value, and overall dealer communications? Dealers are urged to participate in the 19th annual Dealer Satisfaction Index and let their views be known. Many manufacturers use DSI results to adjust policies and procedures that affect dealers, so it's important that all dealers fill out the survey. Results will be released in time for Brand Committee meetings held during the annual convention Oct. 1-5 in Las Vegas. More

KNDO/KNDU-TV    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Summer is right around the corner, and people soon will be heading out in their RVs. If your camper has been cooped up in storage all winter, RV dealers say there are some things you need to do before your first trip. Gas lines and electrical wires may have been damaged over the winter, so they should be checked out. And every RV should have smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, plus fire extinguishers near all exits. More
